CBS "Fun in the Sun" Fall Horse Show
Come join us for the third horse show in our 2013 series! Compete for Day End & Year End Awards. We have divisions for all ages & types: Lead Line, Green Horse, Novice Youth, Novice Adult, Youth English, Youth Western, Adult English, Adult Western, Color Breed, Beginner W/T/C. Our classes will include: Halter, Showmanship, Equitation, Horsemanship, Pleasure, Disc. Rail & Trail. Plus we will have gymkhana games at the end of the day. All game points will count towards the CBS "Belt Buckle Series!" Come Join The "Fun In The Sun!"

Class Descriptions
· SHOWMANSHIP: Judged on the poise, confidence & ability of exhibitor while leading a well groomed horse that performs a pattern with smoothness, willingness & precision.
· HALTER: Judged on the horse’s conformation, movement, temperament & suitability.
· PLEASURE: Judged on the performance, manners & condition of the horse to give a pleasurable ride with commands given on the rail.
· HORSEMANSHIP: Judged on the rider’s ability to execute each gate & command with precision & overall suitability on the rail.
· DISC. RAIL: Judged on the speed, accuracy & smoothness of horse & rider when asked to execute commands on the rail.
· TRAIL: Judged on the accuracy & smoothness of horse & rider on completing a course of obstacles.
Show Divisions
Rider & horse age determined as of January 1st of the calendar year.
· LEAD LINE: Any rider 8 years old & under being shown on a lead line. Classes: 19, 20, 21
· NOVICE YOUTH: Any rider 18 years old & under who has never cantered/loped in a class at any show. Any rider seen cantering/loping on grounds will be disqualified for the day. Riders CANNOT enter in green horse classes. Classes: 1, 12, 29, 36, 43, 52
· NOVICE ADULT: Any rider 19 years old & older who has never cantered/loped in a class at any show. Any rider seen cantering/loping on grounds will be disqualified for the day. Riders CANNOT enter in green horse classes. Classes: 2, 13, 30, 37, 44, 53
· BEGINNER: Any youth rider 18 years old & under that is in their 1st or 2nd year of showing at the canter/lope. Riders CANNOT enter any other canter/lope classes. Classes: 3, 14, 31, 38, 45, 54
· YOUTH ENGLISH: Any rider 18 years old & under that is a walk/trot/canter rider. Classes: 15, 17, 23, 27, 32, 34
· ADULT ENGLISH: Any rider 19 years old & over that is a walk/trot/canter rider. Classes: 16, 18, 24, 28, 33, 35
· YOUTH WESTERN: Any rider 18 years old & under that is a walk/jog/lope rider. Classes: 6, 8, 39, 46, 50, 57
· ADULT WESTERN: Any rider 19 years old & over that is a walk/jog/lope rider. Classes: 7, 9, 40, 47, 51, 58
· COLOR BREED: Any color breed horse (registered or an unregistered that shows characteristics). Classes: 4, 10, 25, 41, 48, 55
· GREEN HORSE: Any age horse in their first or second year of showing under saddle. Horses CANNOT enter novice or any canter/lope classes. Any green horse ridden at the canter/lope on grounds will be disqualified for the day. Classes: 5, 11, 26, 42, 49, 56
Game Divisions & Rules
Rider age determined as of January 1st of the calendar year.
· BEGINNER D1: Any rider 12 years old & under. Rider needs to be walk/trot or just learning to canter. Classes: 59, 62, 65, 68, 71
· BEGINNER D2: Any rider 12 years old & under. Rider needs to be walk/trot only. NO CANTERING. Cantering more than three (3) strides will result in disqualification of that class. Classes: 59, 62, 65, 68, 71
· YOUTH (D1 & D2): Any rider 18 years old & under. Classes: 60, 63, 66, 69, 72
· ADULT (D1, D2 & D3): Any rider 19 years old & over. Classes: 61, 64, 67, 70, 73
· D1, D2 or D3 divisions will be determined based on times.
· All classes will be placed 1st through 4th & pointed 1st through 6th.
· ALL Game classes will be pointed for Cold Brook Stables Belt Buckle Series year end awards.
· Cold Brook Stables Belt Buckle Series year end awards will be awarded on a per horse/rider combination to the highest points earned in each division. Year end divisions are: Lead Line, Beginner D1, Beginner D2, Youth D1, Youth D2, Adult D1, Adult D2 & Adult D3.
Show Rules
· Proof of NEGATIVE Coggins and Rabies is required on all horses. Coggins must be dated within ONE YEAR for in-state horses, and SIX MONTHS for all out of state horses.
· There will be a $40 service fee charge on all checks returned for insufficient funds.
· Cold Brook Stables, or any person connected with the planning of this event will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries to horses, riders, spectators, or property.
· Cold Brook Stables reserves the right to cancel, combine or split ANY CLASSES.
· Any protests, please see the show manager. You may not approach the judge at any time during the show.
· It is encouraged that all riders wear an approved helmet at all times while mounted. Any age rider under 18 years of age, MUST wear an ASTM approved helmet at ALL times. No exceptions. Riders will NOT be penalized for wearing a helmet.
· Long pants & footwear with a heel & smooth sole must be worn when on a horse.
· A 2 minute gate call is in effect. Please, notify the secretary’s booth TWO CLASSES IN ADVANCE if a hold is needed.
· The secretary’s booth must be notified of any scratched class TWO CLASSES IN ADVANCE. If not, then rider will have to pay for the class.
· The owner of any horse that is out of control or posing a danger will be asked to leave the ring and/or grounds. In the same regard, anyone causing a disturbance will be asked to leave the grounds as well.
· We ask that you do not bring your dogs, but if you must, they need to stay on a leash at your trailer. Absolutely NO DOGS allowed near the show ring area.
· Any known kickers must wear a red ribbon in their tail to warn others.
· Excessive use of crop, bat, spurs, whips or reins will result in disqualification.
· Year end points will be tallied by the total points earned by a horse/rider combination in each division. Each division will be placed Champion & Reserve Champion for year end based on the total combine points of all classes offered in each division at each show.
